Education is a well-established and known basic element for development of human capital and an instrument for prosperity of any nation. Education for All is a difficult task in isolation for both the public and private sectors including civil society. To develop Islamabad as an Educational Capital and Model District, the public sector, private educational institutions and community must join hands.
Although few private sector educational institutions were functioning from the very beginning in ICT, educational associations were few from 1980 to 1999 and mostly in city areas. To make quality education accessible to resource-poor communities, Private Schools Network (PSN) was established in 1996 to help education-lovers open schools, especially in rural areas of ICT.
